Prayer and Promo

On Our Hearts, as a band, feel we are ready to start actually doing our ministry.
It's time for a little Prayer and Promo.

Prayer being first.
Paul encourages us to pray with out ceasing! If you have something you need prayer for, or if you read a bible verse that stuck out to you, or if you have a thought or comment about something you read, post it. We will be constantly checking this page, and praying over the things you guys say. We will be responding to thoughts that you have.

Promo is Second.
We are promoting the Gospel with everything we stand on, and everything we are. Hopefully that is evident. We love God, and desire to know him serve, him with our lives, this is our way of doing that.

Our Hope is that On Our Hearts won't just be us. God is something that should be on all of our hearts and we are praying that this movement that is happening in the midst of us spreads outwards into our homes, families, churches, towns, cities, and countries. This movement requires picking up the cross and putting to death our sinful self, every day, and letting the Holy Spirit move in and empower us to do His work for God's glory. We are all invited. We are all to share the responsibility. We are all On Our Hearts.
God bless, and we love you all!

Training our hearts.

David and I are on this journey of serving within the ranks of The Salvation Army. We are learning so much. We have a lot on our hearts, and that includes you. We will be sharing those things through different mediums. We've been gathering our inspiration and our resources, drawing near to God and now we are ready to spill the beans. During my schooling/training, I've been given assignments that are creative expressions of what we are learning or developing. This is good timing as it's the first year that cadets in this school are expected to complete creative assignments, and I'm thriving in it. It excites me. I've  been able to let go of all internal inhibitions and excuses for not letting my light shine before men for the Glory of God. So having these opportunities for creative expression is like a bonus power you find in a game, right? Think mushrooms in Mario. It's very cool. He has given me talents and gifts and a soul and a song. Now we sing. I'm lo...

Moving Closer

MORE PRAYER! That's all we ask for this week. This weekend, we are planning to see what God is has prepared, a place for people to hear some serious truth. A testimony of God's character and will for our lives is rising up in us and we plan on unleashing it in Chilicothe, at The Salvation Army, through music, monologue, and testimony. We will be present on Saturday to invite others to worship, pray, and talk about Jesus, walking around town. This is a first for OOH, but it won't be a last. God is saying something to us and he is saying it to you! Join us to sing it out!

Keeping Hope

Hey guys, We hope this entry finds you in a posture of hope. As President Snow put it in The Hunger Games series, "Hope is the only thing stronger than fear. A little hope is effective. A lot of hope is dangerous." What he knew, and what we all felt when we heard him speak those words, was the truth of this claim. How many stories and heroes do you think would have been ignored by history if they gave up hope of the very best outcome from a really crappy situation? They hoped for something much, much better than what they were experiencing. I can imagine many of them hoping for a paradigm shift in how their people were treated, freedom. Many of them hoped for prosperity amid poverty. Many of them hoped that for a great evil to cease and many more simply hoped that the sickness would pass, so they held on. Many of us may feel like we're living that last one out. That's because we are. Television and cinema always kept the idea of a pandemic in the back of ou...
