Training our hearts.

David and I are on this journey of serving within the ranks of The Salvation Army. We are learning so much. We have a lot on our hearts, and that includes you. We will be sharing those things through different mediums. We've been gathering our inspiration and our resources, drawing near to God and now we are ready to spill the beans. During my schooling/training, I've been given assignments that are creative expressions of what we are learning or developing. This is good timing as it's the first year that cadets in this school are expected to complete creative assignments, and I'm thriving in it. It excites me. I've been able to let go of all internal inhibitions and excuses for not letting my light shine before men for the Glory of God. So having these opportunities for creative expression is like a bonus power you find in a game, right? Think mushrooms in Mario. It's very cool. About On Our Hearts

Why we're here...

We are a couple of guys (and gals) with things on our hearts. Much of that has to do with God, love, life, music, and art. We desperately want to live up to our potential and seek God’s wisdom in doing just that.

We started out in different places doing similar things. We loved music and joined bands. We loved the church and attended it weekly. We found that we could be creative and that creativity was one of the most fulfilling aspects of our lives. Inevitably, we met each other, started jamming, talking, praying, and I guess you could say that it was getting pretty serious. But also fun.

While we continue to ebb and flow our different ways and vocations, we still want to impact our world with what God has placed on our hearts. This means life of the church, evangelism of the lost, and a life lived by the Spirit.

Paul encourages us to pray without ceasing! If you have something you need prayer for, or if you read a bible verse that stuck out to you, or if you have a thought or comment about something you read, post it. We will be constantly checking this page, and praying over the things you guys say. We will be responding to the thoughts that you have.

Our Hope is that On Our Hearts won't just be us. God is something that should be on all of our hearts and we are praying that this movement that is happening in the midst of us spreads outwards into our homes, families, churches, towns, cities, and countries.

We are all invited. We are all to share the responsibility. We are all On Our Hearts.

OOH Prayer

We believe in prayer. We believe that God responds to his people and his people pray for His will.

We are more than willing to pray for you. We consider it a duty and an act of worship. Everyone needs prayer. We were built for it. It’s how we communicate to our God, our Father. When we bring our troubles and praises to God, he listens and responds.

Whatever is on your heart, if you are willing to share, we would like to have on our hearts. We want to mourn with those who mourn and rejoice with those who rejoice. You have our confidence and our support.
