Things take time.

HelIo. Matt Here. I ask my self sometimes why I even write these. Most of the time it is because I want to start something regularly, but the problem is with the consistency in which things related to this blog happen. On Our Hearts has, for the most part, only been two guys with limited resources and a plethora of distractions. One of those distractions is being involved in training at the College for Officership Training in The Salvation Army. This means that we will be commissioned and ordained to serve in the Salvation Army as officers, pastors, accountants, statisticians, small group leaders, preachers, counselors, community specialist, ecumenical agents, worship leaders, and more. If it sounds crazy, that's because it is. I've only understood myself to be called towards one of those. It's where my gifts, my talents, and my passions are. About On Our Hearts

Why we're here...

We are a couple of guys (and gals) with things on our hearts. Much of that has to do with God, love, life, music, and art. We desperately want to live up to our potential and seek God’s wisdom in doing just that.

We started out in different places doing similar things. We loved music and joined bands. We loved the church and attended it weekly. We found that we could be creative and that creativity was one of the most fulfilling aspects of our lives. Inevitably, we met each other, started jamming, talking, praying, and I guess you could say that it was getting pretty serious. But also fun.

While we continue to ebb and flow our different ways and vocations, we still want to impact our world with what God has placed on our hearts. This means life of the church, evangelism of the lost, and a life lived by the Spirit.

Paul encourages us to pray without ceasing! If you have something you need prayer for, or if you read a bible verse that stuck out to you, or if you have a thought or comment about something you read, post it. We will be constantly checking this page, and praying over the things you guys say. We will be responding to the thoughts that you have.

Our Hope is that On Our Hearts won't just be us. God is something that should be on all of our hearts and we are praying that this movement that is happening in the midst of us spreads outwards into our homes, families, churches, towns, cities, and countries.

We are all invited. We are all to share the responsibility. We are all On Our Hearts.

OOH Prayer

We believe in prayer. We believe that God responds to his people and his people pray for His will.

We are more than willing to pray for you. We consider it a duty and an act of worship. Everyone needs prayer. We were built for it. It’s how we communicate to our God, our Father. When we bring our troubles and praises to God, he listens and responds.

Whatever is on your heart, if you are willing to share, we would like to have on our hearts. We want to mourn with those who mourn and rejoice with those who rejoice. You have our confidence and our support.
